The US Environmental Protection Authority developed ERMI to provide a straightforward, objective, sensitive and standardized way to assess mold and indoor air quality investigations. The USEPA developed the ERMI as a ranking system based on dust samples collected from homes, the ERMI will help predict the moldiness of homes.

This test from EnviroBiomics uses PCR technology to analyze dna in dust samples from a home. The ERMI is the most accurate (and easy) way to screen a whole house for mould levels.  It will not determine the source(s) of the mould. But once you have know that you have unsafe levels of mould in your house, you can use more specific testing and inspection processes to locate the sources of mould (ie under sink, behind shower etc)

*The ERMI test score is has not been designed for commercial use. The score needs to be interpreted to give more accurate and useable results.  We can go through this intepretation in the consult that is included with this purchase

In most cases, one test can be used for a entire house. If the house is big, or multiple stories you can use more than one test kit to split the house into sections.
