MyMycoLab Mycotoxin Antibody Test
The MyMycoLab Antibody Test measures IgG and IgE immune responses to specific mycotoxins, rather than to mould spores themselves. This test helps identify whether the immune system has reacted to some of the most clinically relevant mycotoxins, which are toxic compounds produced by moulds such as Aspergillus, Penicillium, Stachybotrys, and Fusarium.
Unlike urine mycotoxin tests that reflect current excretion, this blood test provides insight into immune activation against mycotoxins—potentially indicating past or ongoing exposure and helping to assess the body’s inflammatory or allergic-type responses.
The test involves a blood draw, which can be arranged at a local lab or via mobile phlebotomy (where available). Results include levels of IgG and IgE antibodies against individual mycotoxins.
This test can be a useful part of the diagnostic process for individuals experiencing symptoms consistent with mould-related illness, chronic inflammation, or immune dysregulation.
